We were all very glad to get back to school after the nightmare weather of last week and have certainly worked hard to catch up. The Y1 team did their Phonics Parent talk on Wednesday evening, which we hope you found informative. It is really important to support your child’s learning at home and we know that Phonics can cause some anxiety ensuring the correct pronunciation of sounds etc, so thank you to those parents that came along and of course thank you to Mrs Jackson and her team for giving up their evening to lead the discussions.
Yesterday Serita Solomon the hurdler came along and it was great to see the children joining in so enthusiastically. I must say I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone get their legs up quite that high(over the hurdles of course!). Then today we are celebrating our rescheduled ‘World Book Day’ dressing up and sharing lots of lovely books; as you know we like to dress up at Riverview Infants so we are anticipating lots of excitement! Finally added to all that excitement our lovely PTA team are doing their ‘Mother’s Day Sale’ which the children really love going to.
I will finish by saying I hope you all love you little gifts and have a very pampered Mother’s Day.
