Obviously, this will be my last Blog for a while, as we begin the next phase of trying to contain this deadly virus.
We have had a lot of anxious parents contacting us today, some very pleasant and some not so, therefore I would like to take this opportunity to ask you to remember that this is a NATIONAL HEALTH EMERGENCY, that is inconveniencing all of our lives. We are all having to make adjustments to our daily routines, including NOT sending our children to school.
The guidance is very clear that ‘if children can stay safely at home, they should, to limit the chance of the virus spreading’
I do understand how difficult this is for parents and how devastating it may be on household finances and our individual need to do what we need or want to do; I truly believe that we have been very fortunate in this area not to have seen the awful reality being played out daily in our hospitals, and if we don’t all pull together now and play our part then I feel before long we will, and then things will be a whole lot worse.
So take care of yourselves and your loved ones; batten down the hatches and we will see you as soon as we can.
