I am so happy to be writing this Blog at the end of the first week of a full school. It has been lovely to hear the children in their classrooms, chatting to each other and interacting with the staff face-to-face and not on a screen.
It is so important for young children to have those opportunities for social interaction as well as those practical opportunities for teacher led learning, and we have been delighted at how well the children have dropped straight back into the routines of school – they have shown real resilience!
I have my fingers crossed when I say that we are looking forward to completing this Academic Year (as well as those in the future) without any further breaks, as we have so much we want to plan and do with the children that is fun, interactive and motivational.
In light of the government’s Road Map we will still need to adhere to the protective measures outlined in the guidance, and we will need to be flexible as some plans and events may have to be altered or cancelled, but going forward I am positive that we have some great times to come.
