This week I have been into classes and seen some really lovely learning experiences taking place that the children were clearly enjoying; from learning about the 5 senses in Y1; growing in FS; and the ‘Great Fire of London’ in Y2 they were all motivated and engaged.
Year 1 had their ‘Princesses and Dragons’ themed day yesterday and it was lovely to see the children dressed up and entering into the spirit of things. I was particularly impressed with some of the simple home-made outfits that were really imaginative.
Take Pride (sports partnership) were in on Wednesday creating some fantastic dances around bridges and fire with Year 2 – there was some very creative group work going on and today we have Otters class assembly.
In FS the children have been reading about ‘The Enormous Turnip’ which certainly seems to have inspired some digging and planting!
All in all another busy week at Riverview Infants.
