What an exciting week we have had here at Riverview! The Foundation children have really enjoyed their bikeability this week. Whizzing around the playground has certainly got their blood pumping, hopefully all that exercise will have had a positive effect on the NHS height and weight checks which were also done this week.
Year 2 have finished their SATs and I know the staff are really proud of the effort they put in and pleased with their achievements. It is really nice that we are celebrating the end of SATs with ‘Dino Day’. I have already been down to take a look at all the interesting models and artefacts, so it should be a fun day. Hopefully you have all received information on THE BIG SING; we are delighted that we are able to offer this exciting opportunity to our Year 2 children.
Year 1 have been busy out and about the school grounds hunting for ‘minibeasts’ and I know they have an exciting event planned for next week.
Tomorrow we finish our incredibly busy week with some Royal Wedding festivities to celebrate the marriage of Prince Harry and Meghan, alongside the PTA sponsored event. Any money that you can raise for this event will be very much appreciated, as the school is having to rely increasingly more on donations to support our dwindling budget. For those of you that haven’t yet seen it take a look at the link about school cuts on our Facebook Page.
