I am delighted to be writing this Blog warm and dry in my school office, in spite of the ‘Yellow’ warning for snow, which thankfully didn’t arrive over night!
Despite the ‘will it or won’t it snow ……’ contingency planning and an enormous amount of staff sickness leaving us very thin on the ground at times this week, we have still managed to accomplish an awful lot.
Last Monday, Year 1 went off around the estate looking at different building for their ‘Houses and Homes’ Topic. Considering the amount of discussion and information I’ve received from the children I would say they got an awful lot out of it …………….. plus it’s always nice to do some outside learning.
Year 2 hosted some visiting teachers from an Infant school in Essex, who were amazed at the quality of learning and the progress the children have made so far …………… we were very proud of the children and staff.
And on a purely arbitrary note we are now in February ………………. one step closer to lighter nights and Spring!!
