BOOK WEEK: What an amazing week we have had this week. Starting with a visit from the author Adam Guillain, inspiring children with his newest book. It was really fantastic watching him working with the children; they really love him. Then the Spotlight Theatre Company in school on Tuesday with a ‘Puss in Boots’ inspired show – what fun! Yesterday was a Growth Mindset ‘Yeti’ day, with all manner of activities based around the latest installment of Yeti stories created by Miss Garrard.
Today I have loved coming into school to see the children and staff dressed as story characters, they all look amazing. Some of the costumes are really creative. If you get the chance at the end of the day check out Mrs Booker as the ‘Queen of Hearts’ and Miss Holland as the rabbit from Alice in Wonderland.
Over the holidays don’t forget that you can get involved with the ‘Story in a jar’ competition. Mrs Jackson tells me that some may be displayed in Gravesend Library. Also if you get the chance, you can follow Mrs Jackson’s Blog on Kent-Teach.
At this point I’m sure you will join with me to say a huge THANK YOU to Mrs Jackson and Mrs Booker who have planned and organised such an incredible week, and to all the staff for working so hard to make the magic come to life.
All there is left to say is have a great break and we will see you all on Monday 25th February.
