Trainer Tuesday continues to be a success and year 1 children enjoy taking the responsibility to collect the results and display them on our Trainer Tuesday wall!
We are extremely keen to start a ‘Walking Bus’ to coincide with Trainer Tuesday from September 2016. The idea is for this to happen once a week with a team of parents to help us make this possible, so if you can spare the time or are interested in supporting this please do come forward and let us know.
Please encourage healthy eating at home and school! An excellent family cook book is ‘Ready Steady Glow’ by Madeleine Shaw which offers a range of smoothie ideas, breakfast ideas and healthy snacks. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and we want to encourage children to have extra nutrients before coming to school.

It’s great to see that so many children have the free universal school meals. Remember for those whose children are not eating school dinners this website offers some great ideas for packed lunches. Please remember that we do not allow any foods containing nuts as we have children with severe nut allergies.
Also please remember to send a named water bottle into school daily especially with the weather beginning to get warmer!
We are planning to arrange a health related sponsored event in term 6 and will send out a letter in due course.
