Wellbeing at Riverview Infant School

Children’s happiness, well-being and security is our number on priority.

At Riverview Infant School we buy in a Play Therapist for one day a week to support pupils who need support.

We have a lunchtime Nurture Club where small groups of children can attend enabling them to be supported using the principals of nurture,  We have a designated learning area known as our Star Centre which can be used for individuals  or small groups.   We are well aware of the importance of nurture for the development of wellbeing.

The school has developed a successful Mindfulness programme where Mindful Mouse teaches strategies to support anxiety.   Please look out for our talks to parents on Anxiety, Mindfulness and Behaviour which could support you in the home setting,
